Eve Rookies Fleet Payments

Starting the 1st of January 2024, Eve Rookies will start paying FCs and JFCs for every fleet that is stood up.

Why Pay (J)FCs for Fleets?

The question that many people have asked that found out that we were planning to pay (J)FCs is, “why pay them? Isn’t being a (J)FC enough?”

What a lot of people don’t realize is our Incursion and Home Front fleets have a maximum amount of pilots that can be accepted into the fleet. More often than not the FC will opt out of payments in order to get one extra person into fleet, or let the fleet have a bigger per site payout.

Plus all (J)FCs donate their time to providing content and fun to you instead of earning ISK to get that next ship, upgrade or do more PVP. Whatever they’re saving for, they often give up their valuable play time for you.

How Will Fleet Payroll Work?

We’re keeping it very simple. Every FC and JFC that stand up a fleet during the current month and properly logs it in the appropriate log channel on Discord will get a payout at the end of the month. Here are the full details:

  1. Every FC and JFC that stand up a fleet are eligible for payment*
    • FCs will earn 100m ISK per fleet
    • JFCs will earn 50m ISK per fleet
  2. All fleets are eligible as long as they are logged on Discord
  3. Fleets must last 1.5 to 2+ hours to be eligible**
  4. Payments will be made at the end of the current month

* FCs and JFCs can opt out of payment. In this case payment will go into a special division of the Eve Rookies wallet to be used at Leadership’s discretion.

** Fleets that are logged as 1.5 or more hours are eligible for payout. This does include the time spent Xing up and giving the newbro speech. If for some reason the fleet wasn’t able to last 1.5 or more hours, make sure to include this in your log. Special circumstances could still get paid at leadership’s discretion.

How Do I Become a FC?

So, you want to get in on the FC payment! To do that, you need to become an Eve Rookies FC! First you need to decide what kind of FC you want to become:

  • Allround FC: Allround FCs can do any type of fleet, including VG incursions.
  • A-Fleet FC: An incursion FC that only does Advanced Fleets.
  • PVE FC: A pilot who can lead various pve fleets.
  • PVP FC: A pilot who can lead various pvp fleets.

The types of fleets that Eve Rookies hosts are, but aren’t limited to:

  • Vanguard Incursion
  • Mining (all types)
  • Wormhole ratting
  • Mission
  • Event (both strictly PVE and PVEvp)
  • Null ratting
  • Various PVP

There’s always room for more, variations or brand new concepts. Eve Rookies is able to provide ships for handouts as well as SRP if needed.

Eve Rookies FC Requirements

The following are the core requirements to start your path to FCing for Eve Rookies:

Believe in the Eve Rookies Core Values. Every one of our FCs believe in our mission to provide public fleets and help new players navigate New Eden.

Be Newbro Friendly. Expect that pilots come to your fleet without reading any documentation on this website or even the fleet MOTD. Some will ask the same question in 10 different ways. New (and returning) players will make mistakes and sometimes things blow up. FCs need to be able to roll with the situation without becoming agitated, upset, or threatening to AWOX or drop players from the fleet.

Be Willing to Spend Time as JFC. A lot of our fleet types (especially incursion) will require you to spend time as JFC. This is the case even if you’re already FCing for other communities or know the content like the back of your hand. Knowing the activity will get you to FC faster, but we need to make sure every FC fits with Eve Rookies and can uphold those core values.

Have an Alt That You Can Put in Eve Rookies. While this is more of a “nice to have” than a hard and fast rule, having an alt on a 2nd account in Eve Rookies means you have access to the following:

  • Calendar for posting your fleets
  • Corp hanger so you can get to the handouts and supplies

If you’re interested in FCing for Eve Rookies, you can contact any of the Eve Rookies leadership or FC to inquire how to get started.
