A few years ago when I started hosting parties for the Community Team of Eve Rookies, I made a metric ton of cookies. We don’t have Christmas or summer parties, we now have Cookie parties. And, of course last year I baked a few hundred cookies and handed them out at Fanfest.
Earlier this year I started getting DMs from players wanting to know two things. Am I going to Fanfest 2026 and am I bringing cookies.
Yes and yes.
So, to bake the cookies I’m going to host a live stream on Twitch, May 9th at 11am Eve, that will do a few things.
- Teach people who don’t know how to bake.
- Celebrate 5 years of Eve Rookies.
- Celebrate 5,000 players on the Eve Rookies Discord.
- Celebrate my brand new kitchen, installed the first week of May in my new house!
I will be making chocolate chip cookies, lemon shortbread and some chocolate pound cake (the Eve Rookies players going to FF have demanded cake).

Chocolate Chip Cookie Shopping List
While I will be making several batches of cookies, the ingredients I’m listing below are for 1 batch. Double the ingredients if you want to make a double batch!
- 2.25 cups all purpose flour (281g)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1.5 teaspoon cornstarch
- .5 teaspoon salt
- .75 cup unsalted butter (170g)
- .75 cup brown sugar (150g)
- .5 cup white granulated sugar (100g)
- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk (room temp)
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.25 cup chocolate chips or crushed chunks from bars (225g)
You can also put 1 cup crushed walnuts or pecans into the cookie dough. I won’t be adding these as I don’t want to cause cross contamination for those who might have nut allergies at FF.
Lemon Shortbread Shopping List
Like with the chocolate chip cookies, I will be making more than 1 batch. But the ingredients below will be for 1 batch.
- 2.5 cups all purpose flour (313g)
- .5 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter room temp (227g)
- .75 white granulated sugar (150g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1.25 cups powdered sugar (150g)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- zest from 2 lemons
Chocolate Pound Cake
I will be making 3 pound cakes. However, the ingredients listed below are for 1 cake.
- 1 cup all purpose flour (130g)
- .75 cup dutch cocoa powder (75g)
- 1.25 teaspoon baking powder
- .5 teaspoon salt
- .5 cup buttermilk (125ml)
- 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- .5 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 1 cup room temp butter (227g)
- 1 cup white granulated sugar (200g)
- 4 large eggs, room temp

Here are the tools that will be needed for baking.

- Mixer (stand mixer or handheld – you can mix the cake batter by hand but not the cookie dough)
- Large mixing bowls (2-3)
- Small bowls (2-3)
- Rubber spatulas (at least 1)
- American measuring cups or kitchen scale
- American measuring spoons
- Sifter or fine sieve
- Oven(s)
- Cooling racks
Needed for the Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Meat mallet & ziplock bags if crushing chocolate bars
- Cookie sheets
- Baking paper
- Space in fridge for dough
- Ice cream scoop (optional but makes uniform cookies easier)
- Plastic wrap
