Why is Eve Rookies Making Isk for Rookie Players?

It’s not a scam. You’re not going to get blown up. There’s three reasons that we’re doing this.

1. If we don’t have a dedicated scout, someone within the fleet is going to be duel (or even triple boxing) in order to have someone that can scout sites. This isn’t exactly enjoyable for the person that’s boxing and often means they’re distracted either in the incursion site, or finding the next site.
   
2. A dedicated scout means we can get more sites done since they can get to a new site if another fleet lands on the site. In other words, a dedicated scout means the flow isn’t interrupted.
   
3. To help new players get isk in their wallet faster than missions or abyssals.

What Does it Pay?

We will pay 5 million isk per site completed. If the scout is able to keep us going with minimal interruption (i.e. having to wait for a new site because another fleet landed on the site before we could get over, etc) they’ll be able to earn more!

And the people that fly with Eve Rookies are generous. There’s typically 10-13 people and they tip!

Making Isk: How Much Can I Make a Fleet?

For our EU time zone fleets, we’re regularly hitting around 20 sites completed over a 2.5 to 3 hour period. That means the scout earns 100 million isk + tips!

When are Incursion Fleets?

Currently, the European time slots are Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 18:00 Eve (6pm) with XUPs starting at 17:50.

We are trying to start Australian/New Zealand/Japanese time with “downtime” fleets running at 13:00 Eve or 1pm.

We’re also trying to get US time zone fleets going, but this will be sporadic for now. It’s best to join our discord for the moment to watch the ping window.

What Do I Need to Scout?

A fast ship. You really want it to go over 7.5 AU so that you can get from spot to spot quickly. This can be a frigate or, as we tend to use, a venture (so it can drop ore in one of the sites).

Here is our Venture fit for around 1m. You can make it cheaper by taking off the fireworks but fireworks are fun! If you don’t have the isk to buy one, contact Kshal Aideron ahead of time as she can fit one and give it to you in Amarr.

How Do I X as a Scout?

When FC calls for X’s, just do this… “X – scout” and they’ll put you in an off grid wing where you can also tag sites.

What Happens When I Reach 60 Days in the Game?

Then it’s time to either jump into our basic Praxis and fly in our fleet(s) or go off and use your isk for other things! The reason for the 60 day limit is so we can give other new players a chance!
