In Eve Online, players can either extract skills from their characters and use them on another character, or buy Large Skill Injectors. This tutorial will teach you how to inject skill points using a LSI or Large Skill Injector.
It’s important to note that Large Skill Injectors do have diminishing returns the more experienced your character gets. At a certain point, it makes more sense to buy packages that have SP included from the Eve Store or the NES (in game store). Alternatively, accelerators also become more interesting at this point.
As you can see, if you look at the LSI information, it will tell you how many the character you’re logged on will get when injecting. Characters between 1 and 50 million skill points get the best bang for their buck.
Injecting Skills from a Large Skill Injector
Injecting skills from a large skill injector is very easy. Once you extract the skills, or buy an LSI off the market, follow these instructions:
- Make sure that the LSI is in your item hanger and not a ship hanger or container.
- Right click the LSI.
- Choose the “activate 1 x Large Skill Injector option on the menu.
One thing to keep in mind is if you have several LSI in a stack, you’ll be given the option to use all of them at once. If you only want to use one or two, make sure to split the stack by shift + dragging the stack.
You Can Inject No Matter Where the Injector is Located
Something that a lot of new players don’t realize is the LSI doesn’t have to be in the same station as your character. You can inject from anywhere in New Eden.
Open your asset list from the left hand menu and search for the LSI.
Once you find the injector, do the same thing as if the LSI is in your hanger. Right click it and choose to activate it.
From there, you’ll be able to go to your skill window and apply the now injected skills points. These will show up as unallocated skill points at the bottom of your skills window.
